With representatives of all of the major Ajax frameworks on stage, Peter-Paul Koch leads a discussion of the top cross-browser issues faced today and how each framework addresses them. This is a unique opportunity to learn the strengths of each framework and how they make Ajax development easier.
Day Two:
Faster than Light JavaScript with Brendan Eich, Creator, JavaScript; CTO, Mozilla Corporation
What will JIT (just-in-time) compilation mean for JavaScript performance? See live demos and hear release plans for a Firefox-ready upgraded JavaScript engine, code-named "TraceMonkey," based on the SpiderMonkey interpreter and the Tamarin-Tracing VM. Learn about the new JavaScript features being implemented in Mozilla's engines to inform the "ECMAScript Harmony" standards process. See advanced canvas-based rendering demos that take advantage of the new speed and features.
JavaScript: From Tools to Runtime - Making Life Better with Omar Khan, Product Unit Manager, Visual Web Developer Product Team, Microsoft and Jeff King, Program Manager, Microsoft Developer Division
